今日はどんな会話になるのか、さっそく見てみましょう！
今日のテーマは【空港とフライト】
久しぶりに飛行機に乗る善田さんは、少し緊張気味。空港でもフライト中も、必要な書類を把握したり、アナウンスを理解したりすることが常に大切ですよね。もちろん、機内での食事の注文も…！
※日本発の空港・機内では日本語アナウンスがありますが、今回は会話練習のため、全て英語にしています。
At the airport
Staff:
Please have your vaccination documents and passports ready for a smooth boarding.
Yoshida:
Here you are.
Staff:
All ok, thank you. Next!

Cabin Attendant:
Sir, for takeoff you must put your luggage in the overhead compartment.
Yoshida:
I see, sorry.
Cabin Attendant:
And please make sure you straighten your seat.

Captain:
This is your captain speaking. We will now be entering a zone with a bit of turbulence, so please remain seated while the seatbelt sign is on. Thank you.

Yoshida:
Excuse me! I’d like to have a sandwich and an orange juice. Do you take Japanese Yen?
Cabin Attendant:
I apologize, recently we only take credit cards.
Yoshida:
Oh, no problem, that’s alright. Here you are.

Captain:
We have just arrived to our destination. Those transferring to a different flight, please pay attention to the signs. If this is your final destination, don’t forget to pick up your luggage.

善田さん:
すみません！サンドイッチとオレンジジュースをお願いします。日本円で支払い可能ですか？
CA:
申し訳ありません、現在はクレジットカードでのお支払いのみお受けしております。
善田さん:
いえいえ、大丈夫です。これでお願いします。

ただいま、目的地に到着しました。お乗り換えのある方はサインに従ってください。こちらが最終目的地の方は、お荷物受取のお忘れのないようご注意ください。

今日のTALKは勉強になりましたでしょうか。
機内で自分から何かをお願いすることもハードルがありますが、相手が何と答えているのか、アナウンスで何を言っているのかを完璧に理解するのはそれ以上に大変ですよね。
何かをお願いされる際の言い回しやアナウンスの内容は、ほとんどの場合が似たような内容、タイミングなので、予想される状況やフレーズを覚えて備えましょう！
