今日のテーマは【歓迎会】
歓迎会は新しい会社・チームのメンバーと良い関係を築くのに絶好の機会です。もちろん楽しいことでもありますが、大人数と一度に会話をするとなると少し混乱することもあります。英語であれば尚更ですね。
いざというときにパーティーを楽しめるように、歓迎会の会話の例を見ておきましょう！

善田さん:
東京ですが、少し離れた・・・

◆ Keep all for oneself
No one in the office likes sweets, so I’ll keep these souvenirs all for myself.
職場の誰も甘いものが好きじゃないので、お土産全部私がもらいます！
I know you like fun projects, but you can’t keep them all for yourself!
楽しいプロジェクトが好きのは分かってるけど、全部独り占めするのは良くないよ！
◆ Changing topics
We don’t have a lot of time for this meeting, so let’s please not change topics.
この会議の時間はすごく限られていますので、皆さんどうかテーマを変えずに進めましょう。
Alright, that’s decided. So changing topics, I would like to talk about the budget for the new project.
ではこれで決まりですね。そしたら話は変わりますが、新しいプロジェクトの予算について話せればと思います。
◆ Preferably
To learn a new language, preferably you should have at least 1 lesson per week.
新しい言語を習得するには、少なくとも週一回レッスンを受けるのが望ましいです。
We can have a meeting next Tuesday, but preferably I would choose Wednesday.
会議は次の火曜日でも大丈夫なのですが、できれば水曜日にしたいです。

今日出てきた新しい表現を使えば、ある程度話の流れをコントロールできるようになると思います！話がごちゃごちゃになりそうなときは、今日の表現を使って、落ち着いて皆の話を聞いて、ひとつずつ質問に答えながら歓迎会を楽しみましょう！
