今年は暖かい日も多く、いつもより春が早く到着した気分ですね。

Kimura:
You’re working late today.
You:
Yeah, I’m preparing for my business trip tomorrow.
Kimura:
I see, first time going on your own, right?
You:
That’s right. Can you give me a hand checking my list?
Kimura:
Sure. Id? Laptop? Tickets? Presentation documents?
You:
Check, check, check and check. Looks like I’m good to go.
Kimura:
Great! I hope you arranged a pick up to the hotel.
The airport is a bit far.
You:
The customer will pick me up, but… Oh no. I forgot to book a hotel.
Kimura:
Looks like you’ll be burning the midnight oil…

木村さん：
今日は遅くまで仕事してるんだね。
あなた：
うん、明日の出張の準備をしていて。
木村さん：
なるほど。初めて一人で行くんだったよね？
あなた：
そうなの。リストの確認ちょっと手伝ってくれる？
木村さん：
もちろん。IDは？パソコンは？チケットは？プレゼン資料は？
あなた：
チェック、チェック、チェック、チェック。ちゃんと準備できてそう。
木村さん：
よかった！ホテルまでの送迎サービス、手配してるよね？
空港はちょっと離れてるよ。
あなた：
お客さんが迎えに来てくれるんだけど・・・なんと。
ホテルを予約するの忘れた。
木村さん：
これは、長い夜になりそうだね。

I need to finish these documents by tomorrow, so tonight I’ll be burning the midnight oil.
この資料を明日までに終わらせないといけないから、今夜は遅くまで仕事することになる。
