今日のテーマは【大家さんに相談】
どこに住んでいても、家のメンテナンスは必要になります。
特にビルが古いヨーロッパでは、悪天候や、建物の老化のせいなどでトラブルが発生することも珍しくありません。
そういう時は大家さんと相談！…と言っても、緊張しますよね。 今回はあるトラブルを例にして、大家さんとの会話の流れを見てみましょう。
At the building’s entrance
Landlord:
Hi Yoshida, how have you been?
Yoshida:
Pretty good.
Actually, I’ve been meaning to call you about something.
Landlord:
What’s wrong?
Yoshida:
One of the windows cracked last week because of the storm.
I was wondering if you could fix it.
Landlord:
Really? Last week’s storm was very big…
Of course!
Yoshida:
Yes, and it’s my room window so I’ve been feeling a bit cold.
Landlord:
Got it, I’ll contact the handy-man and have it fixed.
When is it a good day for you?
Yoshida:
Mostly weekends, but weekdays early morning or after 17 is ok too.
Landlord:
Ok, I’ll call him and see how his schedule is.
Then I’ll talk to you again, is that ok?
Yoshida:
Thanks, that sounds great!
Hopefully we won’t have any more storms before that.
Landlord:
I hope so too!
These early Spring storms are never nice…
Yoshida:
Let’s hope it means Spring will be warm!
善田さんの家の玄関前
大家さん:
善田さん！お元気ですか。
善田:
元気ですよ。
実は、ちょっとお話があって電話しようと思っていました。
大家さん:
どうしたんですか。
善田:
先週の嵐のせいで、窓ガラスにひびが入りました。
直していただけないかと思っていまして。
大家さん:
本当ですか！先週の嵐は確かに強かったですね。
もちろんです。
善田:
そうですね。寝室の窓なので、最近は少し寒くて・・・
大家さん:
分かりました、業者さんに電話して直してもらいますね。
何曜日だと都合が良いですか。
善田:
週末だと家にいられることが多いのですが、平日の早朝か17時以降でも大丈夫です。
大家さん:
分かりました、業者さんにスケジュールを確認します。
その後また連絡する形で大丈夫ですか。
善田:
大丈夫です、ありがとうございます！
それまでにあのレベルの嵐が来ないといいですが…
大家さん:
本当に。
こういう春の始まりの嵐はいつも激しいですね。
善田:
今年の春は温かくなるという意味だと信じましょう！
